Israel Newtech in South AfricaDue to its lack of oil reserves, Israel is completely dependent on expensive oil imports. In light of the country’s rapid economic and population growth, it has become challenging to supply its own peak electricity demands. These challenges are inspiring Israeli researchers and entrepreneurs to work on cutting-edge renewable energy technologies. It has led the government to introduce feed-in-tariffs, for large-scale solar power plants and for PV systems up to 50 kWp.
